The first three weeks at the Montessori Farm School
The first three weeks at the Montessori Farm School have been full of learning, hard work, and building connections.
The adolescents are settling into the daily flow of farm life, whether it’s taking care of animals, working in the garden, or helping out around the school. Through valorization of the personality, they’re learning how to work together as a community, while also becoming more responsible and independent.
The balance of hands-on occupations and academic work allows students to see how their learning connects to real life.
They are developing practical life skills while also experiencing the prepared environment that encourages independence and self-direction.
We’re already seeing the growth Dr.Montessori spoke of during this stage of Erdkinder,
where adolescents thrive by being connected to nature, taking on real responsibilities, and learning through experience.
We look forward to watching them continue to develop in the weeks ahead.
